Actually, the Mach Tuck is a dance step I plan to whip out on my next interview. It's kinda like the disco dive.... Hope this helps.

We've discussed this before a couple of times. If you search this forum, you'll find a lot.

The short answer is: AVBUG is correct. Also, the early inflight breakups were the result of this reduced control feel. Without normal pull forces, the airframe was overstressed in the recovery attempt.
