Random Question: Are there any rules against carrying an empty beer keg in a general aviation airplane? I'm not going into the reason now, but I was just wondering. Thanks.

There are no rules against carrying a full keg, let alone an empty keg.

The only rule that I know is that the pilot can't empty the keg in flight.

Beer over the state line

Hey Ya'll,

This reminds me of a movie

East bound and down, loaded up and truckin',
we're gonna do what they say can't be done.
We've got a long way to go and a short time to get there.
I'm east bound, just watch ol' "Bandit" run.

Keep your foot hard on the pedal. Son, never mind them brakes.
Let it all hang out 'cause we got a run to make.
The boys are thirsty in Atlanta and there's beer in Texarcana.
And we'll bring it back no matter what it takes

What kind of plane do you think Sheriff Buford T. Justice would fly?

We're actually just transporting an empty keg shell to an airport about 30 miles away. No actual alcohol involved. It's for a joke for a rival school at a fly-in. I just wanted to check because although we like to have fun, safety comes first, and we of course take flying very seriously. Thanks for the input.

I may have to go put in the tape...:D For the longest time that movie made me want to BE a truckdriver because I thought that's what they really did!

YES!!!!!!!!!! Smokey and the Bandit is one of the best movies ever. I even have the mp3 of East Bound and Down.

Me and my gang just got back from bootleggin' some Canadian beer down to South Carolina in a Seneca I. They don't drink Labatt's in those parts, but ol' Big and Little Enus Burdette needed it for a weekend bash in Charleston. It was rough with all the county mounties lookin for us, but we kept her at 25 squared and made the trip in under 15 hrs.
:p
