The Kalitta air Tenative Agreement passed with 83% voting for the TA

Some highlights of the new contract are:
  • 20% pay increase over 4 years.
  • Signing bonus
  • Increase in new hire pay ($57.14 a hour, up from $40.80)
  • Longevity goes to 25 years (top pay, $167.77 a hour)
  • No more Second Officer pay scale - they get paid the same at FOs.
  • Value of a day is now 3.65 hours
  • Guarantee is 62 hours
  • Home basing
  • Minimum rest goes up slightly
  • Bid line guarantee
  • 401 (k) matching, depending on years of service.
  • More stuff of course, but these are some of the highlights.
I'm pleased it passed - this is a decent contract for us and a step in the right direction.

May I ask, is your pay period every 4 weeks. as in 13 pay periods per year.

Or is it a standard monthly pay period, 12 per/year?

We get paid every two weeks, so we get 26 paychecks a year.

The guarantee is multiplied times 12, then divided by 26 to get our base pay each paycheck. Per diem and pay for over guarantee is paid on the second paycheck each month.

Thanks for the info! Looks like for a non-sched like us you did OK!!

How is the Medical / Dental plan?

Nice job guys. A wonder what you can accomplish when you don't have the ALPA ball and chain wrapped around your neck dragging you down.

What kind of schedule do you work and how fast are upgrades?
Thanks

17 on, 13 off sked. Upgrades? If things keep going 2 and a half years or so but there are so many variables...

PHXFLR-
This was not something that happened quickly...the negotiations went on for years so not having ALPA wasn't the issue...
