Howdy all

Can anyone tell me the policy for jump seating with Independence Air. I have an opportunity to work for a 135 outfit that is located in West Palm Beach.

I will need to commute from the DC area for the first 6 months (7 on 7 days off schedule) and right now Independence Air has the best schedule.

It has been a few years since I jumpseated (pre 9-11) will the majors allow a 135 pilot to jump seat?

Thanks

Sorry, but we can't take 135 guys at this time. I only thing I can say is that you may want to check out our fares at flyi.com. Since PBI is a new city for us, I'm sure that we'll have some pretty good fares for the time being.

Good luck.

I jumpseat on Indy all the time. What a great group of people. Thanks for the rides!

Not necessarily. FLYi has several 135 companies on the approved jumpseat list. The jumpseat coordinator is pretty good about setting up new agreements quickly if your company can reciprocate.

Also, jetBlue will take just about anybody from 135. They do IAD-FLL (about an hour from PBI).
