This is the most outrageous piece of "fireside chat" material I have ever heard! Reminds me of "Frankie Smooth Talk" all over again.

He wants you to see the world as he sees it. It's important for him for pilots to uninformed and complacent. His future success and wealth depend on a little "schmoozing" and "conning".

Sadly, he is succeeding. The freedom list is growing.

Mr. O

This was my first time listening to one of these weekly messages. A lot of what I heard felt like Frank Borman at Eastern during the '80s.

His "spinoff" threat and scope elimination plea have dark implications.

I'm not at all familiar with Freedom's staffing except for what I read here, but he praised the people who apparently switched over from regular Mesa to Freedom. How many could that be? I'd bet that at least a few are new MAPD grads who've switched from school to Mesa. I wouldn't exactly call that a "switch." I welcome any corrections to this impression I've gained.

I gathered that Mr. Ornstein's plan to facilitate future progess is to force givebacks from the union. In other words, back to the future, a la Ed Acker and Dick Ferris.

Very interesting. I'll try to call in every week from now on.
