I heard some chatter about "dual hydraulic failure"
What was that all about?

If it was a "dual" failure as reported then that is a major emergency
and land ASAP is the only option, overweight or not, lose the last Hyd system
and you are lawn dart. I find it hard to believe they would fly around for four hours with one Hyd system, something fishy about this story.

Just saw some video, looks like a E190, I am assuming they have a mechanical back-up system, unlike the Airbus.

No mechanical backups on the 190. It has three separate hydraulic systems and when all of those go you have engine thrust and electric pitch trim.

"The Aviation Herald however learned on Jun 20th that the green hydraulic system had been lost followed by an overheat indication of the yellow hydraulic system prompting the crew to report the failure of two hydraulic systems. The crew actioned the relevant checklists and were able to recover the yellow hydraulic system."

Sounds like they did a good job.
