Hey all,

Just curious on what kind of time it takes to get hired at Jet Blue? I don't know anyone lately where I work getting interviews. Are most of the interview-ees' military or furloughed?
Any recent new-hires out there with good intel?

Thanks in advance for any info/rumor...

Thunder,

This has been covered many times on this site, so do a search if this doesn't answer your questions. Also, hit out website for the application requirements.

The average pilot has anywhere from 3000-10000 hours. The asst. chief pilots do a search every 6 weeks (so update monthly) for 121, military, corporate, 135, regional, etc. Of those selected to interview, about 80% get passed on to Phase II and there is about a 90% selection rate of those who go to Phase II. Recently there was concern it was mostly military getting hired. However, those guys who were affected by the stop loss were able to get out of the military last fall. Therefore, the classes look heavy on the military experience. But they really strive for a good breadth of experience.
