This is a business, not a charity, and the people in charge of business thought that customers would pay for a better experience. It's become obvious over the last few years that they don't, we were leaving money on the table, and our loyal customers flew other carriers to save $5.

That's what AMR's Bob Crandall discovered many years ago, when his attempt to charge more for roomier seating lost money. :(

That gets to the core of it. It can be a business, profitable AND comfortable. Not an either/or sort of thing.

This is going nowhere. Over and out.

Are you applying for a pilot position or a management job... you might want to look into our schoolhouse Chief Pilot job. It sounds like you might be a good FIT.

Hey Crash...go back to bluepilots. Your post, which adds nothing to the thread, by way of information or cogent viewpoint, is a perfect fit.

Saying an airline is a business and running it like one isn't a crime against pilots.

Gear,

Respectfully, you've missed the argument. Crash isn't implying that we shouldn't run a business, ATFcg is.

ATFcg while stating he's trying to gain employment with jb has continued to berate the business plan implying we've somehow done a disservice to our customer while ranting about the humanity of the airlines. Obviously charter and private jets offer more comfort for their passengers... Crash so eloquently stated, lol, we've already got a fat sweaty guy.

If that's the case, I am corrected.Apologies to Crash.
