Mesa, the way it was meant to be

It sounds like Gary wants to go back to the future. It used to be that the original Mesa flew 1900s, Beech 99s, Beech 1300s and Caravans under Part 135 (and without FAs) until the rules were changed to put such operations under 121.

I interviewed with Gary when I was hired at MAPD. Interesting guy. . . . . .
 
I think we need to get rid of the remnants of 135 within 121 completely. It's ludicrous that pilots of 30 seat aircraft operated under Pt. 121 still get stuck with Pt. 135 flight time and rest requirements. The RJ leaves you far more relaxed. If anything the EMB-120 and J41 guys should fly less and get more rest instead of the other way around.
