CAPTAIN PILOT National Security Technologies, LLC (NSTec), prime contractor to the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration, has an immediate opening for a Captain Pilot. Work location will be the Remote Sensing Laboratory at Andrews Air Force Base, MD. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance are required. Successful candidate shall perform in the capacity as second-in-command in a Bell 412 helicopter with eventual upgrade to pilot-in-command. Deploy for durations up to 2 weeks as a crewmember aboard helicopters, airplanes or via commercial means to perform remote sensing missions worldwide. Perform and provide safety and mission briefings to the technical crew, e.g., aerial photographers, mission scientists, and electronic technician/operators. Successful candidate shall possess a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautics or field related to the position, or equivalent training and experience, plus a minimum of 6 years' related professional experience in aviation. Candidate must be properly and currently qualified to exercise the privileges of a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Commercial Pilot with Instrument rating; meet the medical standards prescribed by Federal Aviation Regulations and hold a current Class II Medical Certificate and have documented flight experience that meets or exceeds the following standard: 1,500 hours as pilot-in-command in category (rotorcraft). Desired qualifications include: CFI and CFII rating; FAA Airline Transport Pilot rating; 2,500 hours total time; 200 hours within the past 12 months; and qualified in the Bell 412 helicopter.
