The APFA (flight attendant union) struck AA for five days in 1993. It was originally intended to be a 10-day strike. Then President Clinton intervened persuading Bob Crandall to accept binding arbitration. If memory serves correctly, 900-1,000 F/As crossed, but AA flew mostly empty airplanes during that period.

What's binding arbitration? Or should I ask Sully to give me the explanation he gave his daughter. (Cue the sniffles and watering eyes)
