How did I figure out that "funny handshake"?
I hung around 7 days a week rain, shine, or snow, in between students when I was flight instructing. No students, I was at the FBO poking my nose in their business asking questions. It also helps to get to know the girls that work the counter at the FBO, as they have ALL of the "gossip" on who is flying what and who is looking to get another airplane and who may be looking for a "warm body" to throw the gear for a flight or 2.
