I seem to remember at Brand X, Y and Z we would write up and defer a missing galley cart. Cant remember what we would defer it as (ATA code, cabin furnishings). Current MEL is not very specific, and the closest thing I can find is vague.

MX claiming no action is required, and that we can pull 7 galley carts with no MX record.

Opinions? References? Wish I could remember exactly how it was done.

Just a guess but I think that would be under a CDL not MEL.

Sneaky FA's stealing galley carts again? Sounds like mainline U FA's in attempt to never serve a single pax.

The real question is: Did they alter your BOW? Where I work, missing galley equipment is about a 3500 pound difference.

Galley carts are listed as a P item on the MEL/CDL. They get listed on the on the defer list but they have no ABCD code.
