Hello,
I just read an article that stated that Aeroflot will be primarily a western-type aircraft operator on the future. They will retain their current IL-96-300 fleet and some of their Tu-154s for charter work. Aeroflot recently made a large order for Airbus A-320/321s.

Regards,

ex-Navy Rotorhead

Yes, but the poor chain-smoking, pollution-eating, government issue vodka-swilling, miserable ex-communist wretches still don't get windows. Sux to be them.
[Whispering:] (I think it's a freighter, Salty...)

I saw several Aeoflot breakoff airlines operating charter flights to VTBU (Utaphao, Thailand) for new year's...they fly the pax in and park the jet for the 3 weeks of "holiday". They park them. Not sure how they're gona make it with thinking like that! We're talking up to 50 airliners here....

George Patton and Joseph Stalin must be spinning in their graves:

Well, maybe Stalin.

It just reaffirms to me who won the cold war.

Imagine what you'd say if we ever saw AMERICAN AIRLINES or US AIRWAYS painted on the side of a Yak 237.
