Of course they'll make it look that way. Union pilots in union negoatiations are FUBARing everyone. Sure. If SkyWorst can't make ends meet, first thing is to fire the clowns in ATL and try again. Until then, no pay cuts. And even then.

Aren't you in ATL?

We're LOOSING money due to bad wx....I can't figure out where it keeps going!

Looks like XJT is still losing money for Skywest Inc.

there is absolutely nothing the pilots can do to change or fix this.

Earnings call had a pretty good explanation.

ExpressJet incurred significant losses due to weather related cancellations from several winter storms that severely impacted at least one L-XJT hub. Planes being out of position due to the weather also led to many maintenance cancellations. Another factor for L-XJT's maintenance issue is a poor spare aircraft ratio that the company is working to alleviate.

ExpressJet has made tremendous progress since the merger and under normal conditions operates right at break-even. 50% of merger related synergies have been met. A good chunk of the remaining 50% is dependent on a JCBA for the labor groups. Management confident ExpressJet will continue to improve. Just an unlucky quarter mainly due to winter weather events

Skywest Airlines had a very good quarter. Their Q2 income doubled from last year due to significant improvement in their pro-rate flying contracts.
