downed glider in SoCal?

I was up flying today near El Toro out of John Wayne today, 9/21/02. I forget what frequency we were on but, I heard something about a glider that had gone down. It sounded like it might have been near Lake Elsinore or Perris. If anybody has any info I'd like to find out what happened and if the glider pilot was alright.

If it was a X-C glider, hopefully he was wearing a chute, and left the bird.

Were you on an ATC freq or 123.3?

Too bad, sounds like it could be an engine failure.
Or maybe he ran out of gas, poor preflight planning!:D :D
For some reason I see lots of gliders that come down because of loss of power! Weird huh? :D

Just had to, sorry! :D That's seriously too bad though.
