so a google search tells me DOT COM is issued by fltplan.com in place of useing the aircraft n-number. Anyone?

The dotcom call sign is used by flightplan.com clients in order to maintain anonymity in the wake of the BARR rule changes.

thanks. so anyone can use it thru fltplan.com?

For example if I filed in my C152 and didn't want anyone to see me (my n-number) flying in the system I could pay fltplan.com for the use of a DOTCOM# callsign?

My understanding is the callsign program is only open to existing flightplan.com customers (at least at first) and there is a cost per tail number, per year.
