Let's not forget that a large percentage, maybe even 100%, of those profits are due to the thousands of people at the regionals working for half or less of mainline pay/benefits and working in an environment where a significant pay raise just means you will be replaced. Please consider this when the company inevitably wants to negotiate for less scope.

Cheers,
Scott

Scott,

Come on...more "higher paying" (key words) jobs at mainline means more opportunities to move into a better job. A regional never was a place to hang your hat for a career.

We lost our pensions and 42% of our pay and jettisoned MANY pilots from the mainline ranks while the regionals were REPLACING that lift. Explosive growth at the regionals occurred as a result. Not saying it's your fault or that I don't care, but we have been down this road before and more jobs at the mainline is good for all.

General Fraud!

Wave, even the DL pilots gave up partial profit sharing. It used to be 15% of the amount placed into the total employee profit sharing amount. Then the union agreed (and pilots voted for) a deal to increase pay but decrease the amount of profit sharing. Now, the pilots get 10% of the pie up to $2.5 billion, and then 20% of the pie for the amount OVER $2.5 billion. The problem is management actually pays for the increase in normal pay rates with the given up profit sharing, costing them little extra. When companies make Billions in profits, there shouldn't be give backs by pilots, which has happened to the AA/ US pilots, in a larger amount.

Bye Bye---General Lee

You better get your homework done better kid! Whoever you're blowing ain't giving you the right info!
Any REAL DELTA PILOT knows the profit sharing formula, and how much the pilots' portion is.

The total employee Profit Sharing pool is funded by 15 percent of the first $2.5 billion of PTIX for the year, and 20 percent of any PTIX for the year over $2.5 billion.

If anyone is confused whether this internet troll is even employed by DL, wonder no more! Profit sharing has been one of the biggest talking points by the line pilots, and how much we gave up in C2012.

Hey kid, when you want to play pilot, and masquerade around, take off the high heels and lipstick. Although, I'm sure you're still a pig!

Wow, you found a typo, even though the rest of the posts on this thread were totally accurate. This from a guy who totally botched Flight planning procedures at one of the primary European airports DL flies to. Yeah, you're legit! You're great at looking up Wikipedia, that's for sure!

And Freebrd, you will very likely never truly know anything about DL, let alone any legacy. You will ride the ASA/XJT train down until the end.

Completely agree Scoot. This guy has never been a pilot at Delta. The persona has been busted more than once.

That should tell you something..

Wow Scoot actually did something worth while around here....

Red. It's real simple and a FACT that ALL DL pilots know. This dickhead is nothing more than a desk jockey.
People need to start treating him/her for the fraud he/she is!
