Delta on Wednesday announced that Republic Airlines will join the DCI portfolio and operate a fleet of Embraer 170s in the Delta Connection network. The carrier will acquire 16 new 70-seat EMB170s directly from the manufacturer, requiring no capital investment from Delta. Additionally, Delta and Republic reached agreement on an amended contract that will reduce Delta’s costs associated with existing DCI flying by Chautauqua. The EMB170s will feature a six-seat first-class cabin and 64-seat coach cabin.
