Chopper 8KA 17SSE of Hampton

I talked to a Chopper 8KA this morning on Guard.

He was 17SSE of Hampton at 2000'.

I relayed a Center freq for him (twice) and I'm curious to know if everything was kosher. I didn't get a reply after the second attempt...we were already pretty South of his location by a couple hundred miles when I talked to him.

You mean Hampton VOR on Long Island? He was out over the Atlantic?

As far as I know, yeah.

I'm not too familiar with the east coast but that's what I'm thinking.

I just want to know he got the assistance he needed.
