How much is insurance for independent CFIs going for these days? Assuming about 40 yrs old, 3000 dual given, no accidents / incidents, and the aircraft is owned by the pilot being instructed (all PPL or better). I am tired of being hounded by agents, and thought I'd get it from some of you guys' mouths.

Thanks all,

Terry

I do some independent instructing and carry my own coverage also. I am a NAFI member and able to purchase CFI insurance from Falcon Insurance Agency. My annual premium is $800 for $1 mill liability limit and a small amount for hull coverage, $10,000. Let me know if you have any questions as I have a number of years experience in the insurance industry.
btw - if you are a member of SAFE, they have an instructor insurance program now also.
