Anyone know the main differences between an H2 and a H3? Can the autopilot capture an altitude (please god...)?

One number.

The H3 has two tube EFIS on each side. The autopilot on the H3 will capture altitude, not well, but it will. The FD is weak. It's 80's technology, but better the 50's I came from. The radar is awesome as are the engines. It's a nice step up from the E.

Once you go J, there is no other C-130.

Just follow the hot weather procedures and it works fine. Or don't go somewhere hot- (my choice).

No "J's", I'm in a ANG C-130 unit. I like the full crew so we can keep people working.
