Do it all the time. Going there tomorrow in the ol' ATR, as a matter of fact. Want to go to an island chock full of crappy hotels? Welcome to Beef! Crosswinds happen every once in awhile, but I've never encountered one stronger than 12 or so knots in my 11 months down here. The approach to 7 is dog-legged due to terrain about 3/4 mile from the runway edge. Typically we call for the visual about 10 miles out, fly through the gap between St. John and Tortolla then turn to a heading parallel to the runway. A 097 course off of the STT VOR will take you right through it. Tower will have you call abeam the city of Roadtown. After the mountain, turn left for a base leg, then right to finally get on final. 25 is easy to do a straight-in (but the winds hardly ever favor it). Enjoy.

Thanks again!

Again, good info. Hate to be surprised by the fuel situation. Good info on the visual approaches too.

Anyone ever stay at the Sugar Mill Hotel on Little Apple Bay? Up on the northwest end of the island (Tortola). Looks pretty nice from what you can tell from the website. Rolling the dice on this one!

if the pax want to try a helo, Air Center Helicopters is based at STT and does the Beef run all the time.
