Well, I guess there will have to be a new marketing strategy.

Delta completes sale of flight training academy
December 31, 2009

Delta has completed the sale of Delta Connection Academy to two private equity firms, Lincolnshire Management Inc., and GTI LLC.
The Orlando-based flight training school began operation in 1989 as Comair Aviation Academy as a source of professionally trained, qualified pilots for its parent airline, Comair, and other carriers.
In January 2000, Delta purchased Comair and its subsidiaries, including Comair Aviation Academy, and later changed the school’s name to Delta Connection Academy.
As part of the sale agreement, the school will continue to use the Delta Connection Academy name for nine months, after which it will be known simply as DCA. It will continue to provide flight training for regional and private air services.

Hahaha. Some article bashing regional airline applicants' training backgrounds, used the fact that Delta being the only airline to have a training academy as a beacon of the way it should be in the business.... Barf!
