Hi!

Can anyone recommend a good place to get a Beech 400 jet type rating? Price?

Thanks,
Tref

Thanks,

I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but I already looked at their websites. I was wondering if anyone can recommend one over the other or has any idea what the cost is. Doesn't say on either website that I can find. I'm guessing 10-12 thousand dollars. Also wondering if any other companies offer the BE-400 type cheaper?

Thanks again,
Tref

BE-400

You estimates seem somewhat low for the type, although it has been a while since I have been to initial in BE-400. My guess would be more like $17k. You will have to call them to get exact prices.

FSI is pretty good. The BE-400 sim at Simu-Flite is about 2 years old, so I haven't been it.

Those two are about the only game in town unless you go to an DPE in the MU-300/BE-400. There is/was a guy in Texas somewhere that did types in the aircraft. I don't know the details. You can get the type in a Diamond and it is good for BE-400/BE-400A, although I would highly recommend you don't just jump into a 400A without additional training. The same goes for the other way around (BE-400A to MU-300). The airplanes are different enough in systems and preformance to justify additional training.

Good luck

Thanks for the extra insight. That helps!
