spelled baron aviation. great company to work for 34k salary first year goes up 1.5k a year, 50 bucks a week to float (away from domicile covering someone elses run who is sick or on vacation) 25 bucks a day per diem and 44.5 cents a mile to drive your own car to cover a run or they will airline you if you so desire. some of the floaters make more money driving than flying. the runs are primarily out of three places. MEM, texas: afw aus and a few others then nebraska: grand island, north platte and omaha. Runs do one of two things. Some leave at 6- 8pm every nite mon-thu (sometimes fri) and go to a hub and sit all nite and head back at 6 or 7 in the morning then you are done or some just do an out back in the morning and some of the places have spare guys who just show up to sleep and do any ad-hocs that might be needed. Ok hear is the good and the bad wrapped up in 1: when you are hired you are a c-208 captain. when you quit in 1 year (training contract) or in 30 years you will still be a c-208 captain. They are the nicest people you will ever work for and they are entirely funded by fed-ex so they are not as tight as some freight operators. Pm me if you need anymore info
