AWA App to Interview?

I just went through the process at Cactus, so I can fill you in on my experience.

My resume was walked in July '04. I received my app in September, and turned it right around..

I didn't hear anything until late December for an early January interview.

I was told to plan for the February 7th class.

They are planning on hiring 201 this year.

Commuter situation at AWA

Does AWA have a commuter clause? What is the comuting situation like?

Yes there is a commuter policy. Give yourself two AWA or AWA Express flights and your covered. About 40% of our pilots commute. I have been commuting from the LA area for 8 1/2 years and it is very easy. Longer commutes or off line might be more difficult.
