I was reading an article the other day about American Airlines and their aquisition program. It seems as though they either buy an airline such as Air Cal and then completley withdraw from Air Cals markets and park all of their airplanes and equipment or in the case of Reno Air park all of their airplanes and close all of their bases and now with TWA park all of their airplanes, furlough all of their pilots and flight attendants and pull out of their markets. Anybody have any insight into this program..........new age airline economics or something. Seems like an expensive way to beat the competition....just curious
