They'll be back after they come up with the 1.7mil they owe or someone else does. We were talking about it the other night over a good 4-8 game. Binion's was great but I seem to make it to the other rooms lately. Don't do the trip down to Freemont much anymore and now there is one more reason why I won't go down to Freemont. I personally like the Mirage, Orleans, Belagio and Palace Station rooms.

It's more than the 1.7mil.. The IRS says they owe over 5mil in payroll tax and the Freemont Street Experience says they owe them 3mil.

Wow, that is more than I heard... maybe they will shut their doors and someone will come and take em' over in the future, at least their namesake.

It's all coming out in the local news today. All of the employees were laid off this morning.

Hopefully someone will buy the place. I took my brother in law to Freemont Street on Saturday night and it's not the same without the Horseshoe.

Binions

So where are they going to do the WSOP tournaments?

I never managed to win much at Binions but it would be strange without it.

So whats it like (chperplt) living in Vegas? Did it turn you off to gambling once you moved there? I love that place.

good luck!

Word on the street is they were looking to sell the rights away to the poker tournament before they were closed..

Living in Vegas is great. Low cost of living and nice weather most of the year. I gamble a lot less since I've moved here.

WOW...I remember when they had $1 Blackjack tables...you could play all night and all day. Classic, old Vegas.

They still do, esp on Freemont street. McSheas on the Strip right across from Caeser's Palace has them as well. Free Drinks to while you gamble

Many of the stip casinos have gone back to $1 or $2 blackjack tables. Almost all are single deck.. The catch is a blackjack pays 5 to 4 on those tables and not 2 to 1
