I heard with the expanded reduction in international flying, Delta may be furloghing dispatchers. Has anyone else, maybe on the inside, heard this also?

Delta is reducing their bread and butter, international flying? I find that in itself hard to believe.

I second this statement

A319/A320
ATL - 320 domicile opens in September.
New service: ATL-SAL, ATL-SAP, and ATL-MGA.
Discontinued service: BOS-BDA, LAX-GDL, DTW-CUN and MSP-CUN.
We are waiting on the completion of the LGA slot swap to see what impact it will have on NYC.

A330
ATL - 330 domicile opens in September.
New service: HNL-KIX, HNL-NRT and JFK-IST.
Discontinued service: ATL-DUB.
Twelve hour crew rest modifications on the 330-200 begin in October.
Two 330-200 aircraft allocated to Charters from 10/1 through 10/29 and these may include 12 hour flying.
There will likely be 330 vacancies on the next AE due to the early outs and additional 12 hour flying.
There were 31 Captains and 6 F/O’s who participated in the early out.

B737
New service: ATL-SJO, ATL-GYE, ATL-UIO.
Discontinued service: ATL-GUA, ATL-SXM, ATL-STT, JFK-MBJ and SLC-GDL.
We continute to watch the 737 category as it is one of our higher credit categories.
Based on the schedule we will receive from Network we will anlayze possible rebasing opportunites, for example DTW-737.

B744
Equipment changes: HNL-KIX moves to the 330.
Additional charter opportunities will be available this fall and winter.
744 hours will be down starting in November as aircraft are taken out of service in order to have the lie flat seats installed, we expect the modifications to continue through the spring.

B765
Hours will be down in the coming months as the winter schedule begins.
The drop in hours will not be as dramatic as seen in past shoulder months.

B767
Equipment changes: LIR and SJO move to the 737, PUJ and RTB move to the M88.
The conversion to the 7ER has been placed on hold due to cost pressures, as a result, as pilots leave the category we do not plan on backfilling.

B777
New service: LAX-NRT, DTW-PEK.
Suspended service: ATL-TLV, DTW-HND.
No base changes are anticipated.

B767ER
New service: SEA-KIX returns September 27.
Discontinued service: PHL-CDG, ATL-SVO, ATL-PRG, ATL-CPH, ATL-VCE, MSP-FAI, NYC-BUD, NYC-KEF, NYC-TXL, NYC-CPH, NYC-AGP, NYC-VLC, NYC-ARN, NYC-MAN.
757: Ship 625 parked on 7/16.
76L: Ship 180 now reactivates from storage on 10/29, instead of 11/1.
76U: Charter allocation now begins on 11/12, instead of 10/29.
We are currently waiting on the summer 2012 schedule to see the direction Network plans to move toward.
Aircraft in-service are anticipated to be down year-over-year.

DC9
New service: OMA, SBN, CAK, PHL, DCA, CLT and FAY
Discontinued service: RAP, FNT, THL and TYS
D95: Ship 9851 retired on 7/9.
We plan on displacing DC9 pilots on the next AE, the number of crews displaced will depend on Network’s 2012 summer schedule.

M88/M90
CVG – Increased the number of one day and two day trips.
MSP – Increased the number of one day trips.
NYC – Increased Captain hours.
On the next AE crews will be added to fund the additional M90 flying. The crews added will be supported by the DC9 displacements
