Overview of Mainline Dispatcher Proposals


  • Targeted Cost Savings: $4.8 Million (20% of Dispatchers' total costs)
  • Reduce workforce of approximately 16 positions
  • Incorporate the Performance-Related Pay variable compensation program
  • Confirm ability to have Dispatchers work 234 days per year  15 days above todays practice
  • Eliminate the ASM cap
  • Reduce max vacation by one week
  • Eliminate job protections




Proposed changes to our collective bargaining agreement for Eagle Dispatchers include:

  • 2% reduction in base wage rates
  • Annual longevity step increases frozen for one year
  • Reduction of $0.50 per hour to Operations Coordinator Premium
  • Elimination of daily overtime and double time for hours worked as overtime
  • Modifications to scope provisions to allow greater operational flexibility
  • Introduce “Personal Days Off” to consolidate Vacation and Sick days
  • Eliminate accrual of fifth week of vacation
  • Eliminate personal (floating) holiday and Memorial Day
  • Change company match to 401(k), resulting in 2% reduction
  • Structural pay increases of 1.5% in 2015 and 2016, if consensual agreements are reached
  • Implementation of a Profit Sharing Plan, if consensual agreements are reached
Annual Cost Savings Target: $400,000

It doesn't sound like they want Eagle around as anything but a marketing brand with the lowest bidders doing the work.
 
But hey, they would get a whopping 1.5% increase in pay in 3 years!
 
The dispatchers would be better off starting their own company and contracting their work to AE.. This is the beginning of the end for this profession as we know it.. Terrible... wonder what hits management is taking...

And did'nt we just see a Dx ad recently for training in SJU? then on the DFW?
