Does anyone commute to Alaska-Horizon Air from the midwest - great lakes part of the country ? Are the companies schedules commutable after reserve or probation is over ? If so would it be a circus to do or no ?

You don't want to commute to Horizon. Horizon is best for people who want to live in the Northwest.

If you are looking at regionals and want to live in the great lakes area, then come to skywest. You can get ORD or MSP immediately. Horizon is great if you want to live in the Northwest, but they have a lot of uncommutalbe small bases.

Commuting to Alaska might be more realistic if you have the time and connections.
