It'd be interesting to see what the breakdown is between regional and major.

It would be more interesting to see the breakdown between current holders of the captain seat and those who are gunning for it.

The numers as of post #123

Votes: 81
YEA: 36 (13 Mil / 23 Civ)
NAY: 45 (13 Mil / 32 Civ)

56% Nay / 44% Yea

Mil guys evenly split and Civ guys stronger for status quo.

Hyflyt560 voted twice but I only counted 1 Yea.

I tried to break it down by seat but based on each user profile it was difficult to figure out. Some guys had a lot of hours as an RJ CA with the intent to move to a major for example. The mil vs. civ was the easiest. I didn't want to ask guys so they would be more inclined to vote. Gutshot actually voted, I think. He's in for a nay anyway.

(G-S-D kitty: I'm guessing "The Court-Martial of Billy Mitchell" but I have no idea)

If the votes were randomly generated then 81 votes would represent a population of: 100 pilots, but the numbers get much bigger from here on out sports fans.

Polls are still open. And please take the discussion to the "skinny on 60" thead. -signed the kinder, gentler 71K

Judging by your signature line, I put you down as a movie fan.

That would be Frank Langella in "Dave."

And you are correct. I voted no. It won't affect my career since I fly a limo, not a bus. But in the interest of full disclosure, I'd like my better half to make Captain at her major sometime in the next decade.
