Acronyms

Hi folks. Trying to get my head into the GA game after a long absence. Could anyone fill in the blanks for me on the acronyms AAVIATES (applies to required mx inspections) and MARVELOUS VFR (applies to required reports to ATC [IFR])? Many thanks!

V - VOR
I - 100 hr
A - Altimeter
T - Transponder
E - ELT

That's the one I know. There may be more to it.
Obviously some are only for IFR.

I always though the 2nd 'A' was for Alt, Pitot, Static. AD's are updated during the annual, no use in being redundant

I asked a CFI of mine for an acronumy for VFR equipment, he said 91.205
