747 rotates way down the runway

He probably rotated before the last 1k foot marker, but the photographer used lots of zoom on that shot.

A zoom lens not only makes the subject look big (duh), but it will compress the foreground and background. The more zoom, the greater the compression illusion.

Notice at the end, the runway started looking real normal as the photographer zoom out to keep that huge airplane in the view finder.
