What keeps the plane from going to 230 and 250 after the LEDs are retracted?

Nothing...but why is this important? If there is some concern about obstacles... Use best angle from the climb page. If there is a speed restriction for airspace, use speed intervention. Plane climbs much better at 250 then 210. Once you hit acceleration height with both engines turning you are way above SE profile so obstacles aren't usually a concern.

Noise abatement. You and I know it as "the take-off profile" from Chapter 3. The rest of the world knows it as NADP2, or Noise Abatement Departure Procedure 2.

Did you know that a few years ago our training dept tried to incorporate a two engine (no problems / 100% jet), no flight director, hand flown ILS? It was a blood bath. There were so many failures in such a short period of time that they pulled it out of the script.

What airline do you fly for so I can ensure to not fly it...

-Because the guys who sign our paychecks tell us how to fly it and that ain't the way they tell us too.

why are are guys like you so afraid of flying by the book/ipad?

Mookie

Because some of us tend to trust the manufacturer more than we trust our company.

Don't worry about it. He is prone to overstatement.
