Just out of curiousity, what would be the right thing in your view?

Would the RAH guys refuse the Midwest stuff as flying struck work? Not flame, just curious what the prevailing thinking is over there.

Our contract will not allow us to fly any struck work. The sooner they strike, the sooner we stop flying Midwest colors.

Our contract will not allow us to fly any struck work...

3. The Company will not transfer any Company aircraft or schedule
any pilots to fly any trips for airlines that are on strike unless
mutually agreed by the Company and the Union.

Point of order. Nothing in the contract prevents the pilots from flying for an airline on strike. The contract prevents the company from assigning flying for an airline on strike. Same effect. The union will never agree.

...The sooner they strike, the sooner we stop flying Midwest colors.

The sooner the better.

We will NOT fly any struck work. The pilots, union all agree on this. How we got to this point has nothing to do with the RP pilots. That's like blaming the tax payer for the current bailout we see today. If we grow and make money we are shunned. If we take over a majority of flying at Mesa are we going to blame the RP pilots or Mesa CEO? The logic on here is blame the RP pilots. :bomb:

And since the RAH/Midwest thing is a "wet lease" deal, there would be no quibbling over what would or would not constitute struck work.

I say again: The sooner the better.

We absolutely will not fly struck work. We have a grievance filed against this work and the entire pilot group is against it. The two companies decided all of this without even informing the pilot group or union. In fact, we (the pilots) found out about it AFTER it was released to the press. We have something to lose on this too. According to the agreement, Midwest pilots will take over our airplanes. This is in direct violation of our contract, whereas, no pilot other than a Republic Airlines pilot shall fly our airplanes.

Get out of the airlines, go corporate, nothing beats the pay, trips, and time off!

Been there, done that and I'm still happier at the airline. I guess all of the corporate jobs aren't so glamorous. Congrats if you found one of the good ones though.

I hope the previous 6 or so posts answered your question.

We won't fly struck work. Period.

yeah, 44 guys who can start reducing their debt in these hard times, and get some furloughees back into a position of getting paid and paying taxes as opposed to collecting unemployment and draining our government budgets. 44 guys who can begin to save for their family's future again. Is that so awful?

HAHAHAHAHA!! Saving for their family's future? That is hilarious. The wages these guys work for you can't save money. It is all about the ERJ and how "big" it is. When another pilot who makes more money is furloughed for a guy who will whore out his pay scale and work rules it is wrong.

And where exactly did you make the big bucks, hmmm ? In your previous posts, you claimed to work for Air Whiskey,US Airways and now Compass-which is it ? And you did all those city pairs UNDER YOUR OWN COLORS,right ? Like in the CL65 and Dash ?
