New airline pilots on the radio

We'd like to put FL350 on request. Ok, then do it. And stop with the "on request" BS.

    do you use bidpro?

    I'd like the number, regardless.
  3. ImbracableCrunk

    do you use bidpro?

I use it at AK. It makes bidding much easier. However, it won't submit my bid and I can't use the mobile apps. I sent a service request and they mark it as solved a few months later with no solution. It seems like they just toss the requests in the trash.

    BidPro Support

Has anyone ever gotten support from BidPro and if so, how did you get in touch with them?

Ripped jeans, American new hire class photo

No, I think that is the Grandfather Luftwaffe!

    New hire class 20th Reunion?

    Flight/Photo Bag

Any photographers here find a bag that works well for carrying both our flight gear and some photo gear? I've got my iPad, UFlyMike and no charts and a bottle of Tapatio. I'd like to just have the two bags so I don't look like a homeless person/flight attendant.

    Eskimo ERJ175s flown by SkyWest.

AS has a totally different FA group than Delta.

    Eskimo ERJ175s flown by SkyWest.

Voted no because of this and because of scheduling section. I'm sure my posts from back then will agree.

737 NG operators, how much fuel do you land with?

I've had the centers light up on takeoff, but the mains on landing? WTF.

    Boeing 737 until 2030?

A321LR is finally making Boeing rethink this plan? Glad to see they're hurrying to catch up.

    Alaska & DUI

    What?

    Alaska & DUI

Unless you're an instructor's kid. Then it takes a DUI and 2 murder convictions before you're out. (Just kidding!!)

Boeing behind the curve without 757 replacement...

Do you think Boeing went to operators of -100s and -200s and asked them what they wanted? They aren't proxy votes. Who is the biggest operator right now? Who was the launch customer for the -500 and the -700? Who is the launch customer for the MAX? SWA.

Delta doing test flights in JNU .. 757 svs now !!!

I've never been to Quito. Just looking at Google Earth, it looks pretty tame compared to Juneau. It's pretty tight heading out the Gastineau Channel and add some winds and you're in for a wild ride. I'm not saying DL or anyone else can't do it, but you guys are going to be limited to the public...

Pilot Caught With Loaded Handgun at Calgary Airport

Ah, yes. I remember many summer days, running around in a park near my home, playing ball or tag. No matter how hard I tried to avoid it, I'd always step in a pile of gun. It seemed like it took hours to scrape some Glock off the bottom of my Keds.

Big announcement on Tue at Endeavor.

    $600M? I thought it was $120M.

    AAI to SWA forced assignment?

True. I was just trying to remind people of the general idea of landing at the wrong airport. There's better examples, I'm sure.

    AAI to SWA forced assignment?

I don't know much about SWA at Branson and wasn't trying slight anyone. I have flown to a lot of uncontrolled fields under radar but with COM1 on CTAF and COM2 on company. It's not stupid to think radar can help you more on approach than listening to BillyBob taking ON and IN times.

    AAI to SWA forced assignment?

Well, when I was flying a few miles from the DMZ, it was mandatory. Now it's SOP for ETOPS and domestic. And it's probably just a good idea since you can hear any ATC facility that needs your attention. Might save someone's day. Maybe a nice approach controller say, "On guard - XYZ123, altitude...
