Seaplane instructor beleives he is more important than a declared emergency.

Wow just wow. You can bet with high level of certainty someone recorded your audio outside of ATC. If the actions are bad enough you can bet someone within the gov will "leak" their copy. I swear some guys think the world revolves around them.

Spirit to Furlough 260 Pilot and defer aircraft

I know some carriers are filling pools. Hiring is definitely cooling. I think companies are waiting and trying to get a read on the Airbus / Boeing issues as well as inflation and maybe a change in administrations. Lots of moving parts right now.

    Flight school recommendation in NYC

Coming from the view of Airline Pilot and CFII that has been at this awhile. The previous posters make good valid points and I will add a bit more. Training in congested airspace, and in areas that have all 4 seasons of weather is a positive over all. You will be a much more rounded pilot...

Questions about Bombardier CRJ T-tail jetliners and similar class jetliners.

Embraer Legacy has a range just over 3400 nm. I am not sure how much more fuel you can cram into them. The planes were never designed to go 5000 nm to begin with. I'd imagine it could be done with ferry tanks in the cabin and pay enough for the STC's anything is possible.

Question Vapor lock: What is it and who is affected by it?

I dealt with this in my early cargo days and in my Flight Training days in the C172R model. In my experience it was only a start issue. I never experienced or heard of it happening in flight.
