Guadalupe is where it's at. Centrally located and a short drive to the airport. Reasonable housing prices too.


You'll need to be able to speak Spanish living in the Guad. Probably wise to carry too.

Ahwatukee as mentioned, Fountain Hills, chandler.. Just my opinion.

Stay away from south and southwest Phoenix.. Not sure about the northwest areas though.

Completely agree with these choices. Ahwatukee is relatively close to the airport too. SNOTSdale is nice but very expensive. Bring a lot of high SPF tanning lotion...

Southeast valley is where it's at.

North Phoenix, Fountain Hills, Scottsdale are nice too.

Stay out of Guad, malfunction junction, and southwest valley
 
Rent for a year and find your nitch. Lots of good spots throughout the valley.

Every time I've moved sight unseen I've regretted not taking a year lease to find the sweet spots.
