Mesa Air Group Announces MOU With United Airlines for Up to an
Additional 60 Regional Jets
Tuesday July 1, 8:02 am ET

# PHOENIX, July 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Mesa Air Group, Inc.
(Nasdaq: MESA - News) today announced it has signed a memorandum of
understanding with United Airlines to operate as a United Express
carrier, significantly expanding its current code share agreement with
United. Under the expanded agreement, Mesa will operate 35 regional jets
on select portions of the company's United Express service in addition
to the 10 Dash-8 aircraft already under contract. The 35 regional jets
include 20 larger 70-seat and 15 50-seat aircraft. United will also have
an option for an additional 25 regional jets, the timing and mix to be
determined at a later date. The expanded agreement is expected to be
effective in August 2003 and, unless extended, has a final expiration of
December 2013.

Aint many 70 seaters left. Skywest got 30, Mesa got 20 = only 25 left with ACA and ARW with no contract. This sucks.

Unf&*king believable!! UAL just don't learn do they. Got burnt by MESA a few years back and now they are back in bed with them. This is going to be interesting.

Congratulations on those concessionary catch up contracts, guys. All that bountiful growth that it's bought you, isn't it fabulous? How does the carrot that management dangled taste, anyway? Hey, I've got some beachfront Arizona property y'all might be interested in.

Usually I try not be a total arsehole, but the Concessions of 2003 debacle must be remembered, it must go down in the history books, or we're bound to repeat it. Remember that drinking the kool-aid may not bring salvation. Let this abortion be burned into our memories.

The one thing I am curious about is "Starfish" - UAL's version of Delta's Song. If Starfish does not happen - and I haven't heard a lot about it lately - will the number of RJ's increase or remain static?

It sure changed my stance on the RJ's. I'll never argue with a mainline pilot about them again. Their prophecy turned true. Although I have to say that if Sept 11th never happened that things would be different.

Don't worry about Mesa

Hey Kids,

Don't worry too much about Mesa. While it looks good on paper, we're as predictable as any Seattle team in a playoff....we'll choke!

Watch us blow this Dash 8 deal in Denver. Hell, Frontier is going to kick us to kirb end of August........

We can't keep/manage the business we have, let alone garner anything new....

You'll be back flying UAL colors before we can change paintjobs.....

Sad but true!

The RJ portion of your statement is correct, while we were all too happy to stick out our chests and profess that "we fly Rj's" main line routes were being sent our way for 70% less cost. Where is the main line job going to come from for us now??? Sept 11 was not the start of all this, and over inflated economy was the true villin.

S hit, should have taken the red pill!!!

I did notice that the Mesa RJs being flown for Frontier no longer say FRONTIER on the side. They are just plain white with MESA on the tail.

Curious,

Mayday.

Mesa Paint Jobs

Don't read into it.

We're too cheap to paint the planes for the right code-share.

Have you seen some of our Beech 1900s? ALL WHITE!!

They say it's because they can use them in all of our "code share" systems, but I note that at least ComAir and SkyWest have enough pride to paint their names on their spare aircraft....

Not us.....go figure.....
