Probably because since either A.) No one has the money to be current or B.) No one else wants to pay for it.

I hope it's (A)...... Because there are TONS of openings in the Middle East and Asia paying great money. We are looking for a current XR Captain and its impossible to find one.
If its (B)......and they have the money to pay for training and just don't want to pay for it, then sit around and be unemployed I guess.

Because a lot of dirtbag pilots will get trained.....then leave. Then the boss gets more pissed. There's enough coverage to not have to pay for a pilots training out of the gate....it's just hard to find current guys now I guess because the economy the past fes years. But once they are hired and everyone is happy with each other....then paying for recurrents and upgrade initials on new aircraft is fine.
