Listening to the NTSB brief....it sounds like at least one, if not both of the engines sheared off at some point. They are in the process of locating and recovering it (them).
 
Wolf asked why they just don't put screens on the front of the engines...OMFG.

I'm no engineer but what would a screen look like that could completely stop a 20 pound bird going 200mph. Could any air actually go thru it?

The level of ignorance is staggering. Walking talking morons with absolutely no feel at all for the physical world in which they dwell.

no kidding! hasnt that jack-hole ever played Halo 3? Energy Shield. . hello. That technology has been around for a few years .
