In 1962, one of the "big 3" aircraft manufacturers introduced a new single engine plane with an unusual feature: it had a working gear position lever, gear warning horn and lights- but fixed gear! While this oddity didn't last very long, many of these aircraft were manufactured and are still flying today. What are they?

Mooney M-20 D Many have been converted to retractables! You gave it away in your post

Beech also used this type system in the BE23 Musketeer or were you talking about the Musketeer since Mooney was never one of the big three. (Cessna, Piper, Beech)
