from cnn:
• All four crew members of a U.S. B-1 bomber were in "good health" Wednesday after sailors from the destroyer USS Russell rescued them 30 miles north of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean near where their plane crashed earlier in the day, U.S. defense officials said. Pentagon officials said there was no indication of hostile fire in connection with the crash.

I know this isn't new news, but find it amazing that all four crew walked (or swam) away.

Bet they didn't practice that one in the sim. Must have been one hell-of-a ride.

It's not that big a surprise. All four crewmembers have ejection seats with water survival equipment designed to keep them alive until rescue.

My fellow squadron members flew orbit over the crash site until rescue. Sounds like a great job was done by all parties concerned.

Having spent many days in that part of the world, I wouldn't worry too much about spending time in the water except for the sharks!
