Stop Loss Waivers

For you USAF guys, could you give me a link or anything where I could get a copy of the request for waiver letter that you guys send up the chain. I'm trying to get something to plagiarize for the USMC version of stop loss.

Thanks in advance.

I read a statistic the other day that 82% of all requested waivers for stop loss have been approved! That tells me if you have a reasonable reason for wanting out (good job waiting, family has already moved, etc.) go ahead and ask for a waiver.

The approval authority is your wing commander equivalent, so aim your request at that level.

Fly safe!

Approval authority

Just one small correction to the prior post. The approval authority is your MAJCOM CC (Lt Gen Hopper approved mine when he was the acting AETC/CC). However, I would agree that your wing/cc's recommendation is critical. If your wing/cc doesn't support you then your toast. Probably approved if he/she supports you.

Good luck and go for it!
