I have heard from a past Skywest pilot/current Delta pilot that Skywest will probably get a base in Dallas soon. Is there any truth to this, or has anyone else heard this??

It's done. Skywest is already operating in DFW. They are flying routes that were taken from ASA and some new routes that ASA would have gotten.

SkyWest is flying about 5 airplanes out of DFW; however, there is no official word at SkyWest about a DFW domicile. There should be an announcement soon as to where the new crew domiciles will be.

Its far from done

It's FAR from done.

We are flying out of DFW, but not much. SkyWest has always been leary of new domiciles. There are a lot of us that would like to see some more eastern domicles, but they'll probably just keep putting the planes in SLC and flowing them to DFW

Tell you what... when we at ASA get domicles in SLC and LAX, then you can talk about expanding East. Until then, just keep flying our routes in DFW and quit complaining about how bad you have it over there.

Comair has just as many routes out of dallas as Skywest does. Comair is adding a lot more in march like corpus cristi and indianapolis. However, it takes a lot more than a handful of routes to add a base.

Sir-

With no other way to contact you as your email address is blocked and you're not online at this time, I am forced to post this here.

There is a pilot at SkyWest with a VERY similiar last name to your Callsign. As a SkyWest Pilot yourself, it would be very appropriate to your fellow pilot's privacy, character and integrity with SkyWest for you to use a different Callsign.

-Thank you in advance
