Ever wonder what ts like being a RJ pilot? someone explained it like this....you are flying to get your time, trying to pay your loan off and live while making almost no money.
sad to find out the road ahead is going to be a bumpy and lonely one.
Maybe not happy with the company and procedures they have but not able to go anywhere else because most Rj operators all seem the same.
Major airline pilots hating them and venting their ********************ty lives onto the rj pilot and blaming them for killing the industry.
Now since there is no more growth, its going to be one regional stealing flying from another and adding to the stress.
just this week seems like 6 companies are bidding for the Alaska Rj flying.
Making Rj pilots feel like they are competing with other RJ pilots form other airlines and happy to see one airline and staff struggling.
Flying with low time F/o's or ass capt. with chips on their shoulders(you know the one year to left seat ones)
Seeing high school nerds on power trips with a couple of bars on the shoulders and a "im cool" walk down the terminal.
what else...
there was more but he kept going on and on...

Start looking in to other carrer options. Do you really want to be doing this till your 65? Another 31 years of this business makes me sick to my stomach. 5am busses out of a Holiday Inn while your other friends are retired and on a beach somewhere. Instead of whining about the stuff that is out of your control do something proactive.

Everything becomes a job eventually. Work is work. The shine wears off eventually. The grass will ALWAYS seem greener. Beats sitting in some insipid corporate office.

Rinse, wash, repeat. Go eat some Soma and listen to some propaganda!

C'est la vie. :)

yes but at least in Huxley's world you get to tap any piece of a** you want.

Do you really know that many guys who retire from their career and then begin to live some fantasy beach life somewhere?......I sure don't.

Beach, Mountain, the plains of Kansas. Not really the point. Point again is do you want to be flying until your 65 and working for the man or do you want to do something else and retire sooner?
