Welcome to ACA. You're about to join some of the most talented pilots in the regional/national industry, pilots who take their contract seriously (and know it backwards and forewards for the most part.) Despite what we sometimes say about our management, they do a terrific job of finding places to make money. We are one of the few airlines who few hiring these days.

Unfortunately, however, the quick upgrades are over. But there is a way to freeze yourself and make CRJ pay after 12 months and thus pull down a livable wage.

Hopefully you'll hold BOS in your new-hire class -- it all depends on the bidding for CVG and whether seats will open in BOS as a result.

Dornier training is straightforward. Systems are relatively simple (compared to the CRJ). The airplane handles like a 30,000 lb 172 on steroids. Heavy at first, but with low ref speeds approaches are easy (just watch the pitch up with flaps 12 -- you can balloon 300 feet before you know it.)
