......because to get HBA for all, we're going to have to give up something - i.e., $$$$$$.

This is excatly why there will be no change in the current system until contract negotiations are over.

Do the math guys. If the domicile "chip" saves the company just 5% in salary increase at the bargaining table, that's enough money to pay for EVERY new hire this year quitting, and they would still be way head through the life of the next contract.

It is what it is unless they simply can't hire enough pilots. Even 30% walking after type won't hurt in the long run. There may be a few folks walking right now, but it's not even enough to matter let alone enough to turn the tables.
 
For pilots that were granted a HBA and wanted to move later on do they have to move within the 5 domiciles, or can they move where ever they like? Within the HBA guidlines.
 
Once awarded HBA, the only way a pilot could lose HBA is to accept reimbursement from the company to move to a domicile. At that point, the pilot would be locked into the domicile debacle. That's all under this contract, though: who knows what the future holds.
